Guy with Cigarette

Hey!
Even though I'm totally against smoking and do not ever want to become a smoker I found this über (haha-I'm German so I can actually do the Umlaut! :P) picture on [Extra]ordinary People (Δ) so I had to draw it XD

Sunday's DIY lavender pouches for coat hangers

Hi!
I had to think a lot about today's DIY because finding one about coats wasn't that easy. I mean I embelished a vest before so that wouldn't have been the most original idea and I obviously couldn't have taught you how to make a coat yourselft because well, that would have required a pattern and uploading the whole thing here in the right size would've been rather tricky.
So I looked in my wardrobe for some inspiration wenn my eyes fell on the coat rack over which I had hung a lavender pouch my dear Croatian friend gave me. I love smelling pouches, mainly because they always smell so good and make everything else in the closet smell so nicely but also because they always looks so nice. That's why I decided to make a DIY on them.

Oversized Red "Bond" Cape

Hey!
It was during a conversation with a friend of mine that we came to the conclusion that the next bond will have to be a woman. No more Daniel Craig, Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan-no the next one should be Scarlett Johanson (in the Avengers she wasn't that bad so she should manage Bond :D) or something.
To be fair the name James would have to change a little-I guess Jamie would work...and of course the bond-girls would turn into smokin' hot guys and there you go-the perfect recipe for a successfull movie!

long black coat

Hello :D
Today's preview is a little unusual if you have a the theme "coats but I chose the shoes anyway so that in a minute, when you click on "Read More :D" we can concentrate on the coat :D

Black "Fan" Coat

Well hello there :D This next coat is not actually a "fan" coat as in like a football team fan coat but I called it that because just under the bust in fans out into lots of awesome folds :D
This makes the silhouette very feminine and defines the the girls figure-this can be very handy especially when you're tall and thin because it simple gives your silhouette a shape :D (of you know what I mean :D)

Olive Green Parka with Fur Hood

Hello! :D So fiiiirst I have to tell you about my awesome shopping trip today! My amazing friend and I met and we checked out the most awesome stores here in Essen-the fabric store, secondhand store and a vintage store. And we were successful! :D I would post pictures but I would need someone to take the photographs (and definitively an intesive class on modelling) so descriptions will have to suffice!  In the bag was amongst others an oversized camouflaged buttoned shirt/jacket, a plaid blazer (I dare to say a must have this season-we'll see :D), an amazing oversized blue, red, yellow and white sweater (it  kind of has a pattern...-which is hard to describe and stars on it :D) and green fabric to make the parka bellow! :D
I believe you can say that I love shopping (with the right people and in the right places) so let me know if you want me to post more descriptions of things I bargain :D

Two lovers: the plain black trench and the feminine green blazer coat

Hello :D Yes it is a rather long post title today but I mean-how else are we going to describe these to cuties. He, the again a womanizer-prominent face, masculine beard and a modern hairstyle and her, the cute, nice and more introverted but very affectionate young girl. Isn't that a perfect pair?

Peplum blazer with pink pencil skirt!

Here comes the next peplum! Hi everyone-so I must admit-I actually kind of fell in love with peplums...which is quite remarkable considering that I hated them when they first popped up on the runways.
So todays "Think Pink" outfit is a little...unconvential. I was flipping through a magazine when I came across a Burberry jacket which inspired me to this one.
The color is a military kind of olive green which looks awesome in contrast with the pink leather pencil skirt. The jacket is closed until the top and is then secured in the waissline with a thin belt. From there the Peplum comes in fanning out over the waist.
I hope you like it!
xoxo Alex
PS: I decided that the black pen I have is to fat for drawing faces and I don't want to keep ruining my ladies with weird looking faces so for the moment they will be faceless but as soon as I find a thinner fibre pen I promise they willt get faces again!

Hey! Look what I have for you today! The second part of my Ballpoint Pen Series!
This design evolved in my head when I was lying in bed when I was trying to go to sleep and I had to draw it immeadiately so I wouldn't forget it (does that happen to anyone else too? :D)
It is a simple and long Parka with is shorter at the back than at the front. It has a large hood and (Very important!) it is fitted around the waist.
To go with the look there are slim-fit trousers and an awesome pair of wedges (which look a little like iceskating-shoes XD)!
xoxo Alex
PS: I don't know why but I cannot add a title today...sorry for that!

Fake fur coat

Hi! As with lots of designs I got inspired to this one by a movie (lets see if you can guess!). The wearer is a young woman who is unhappy because she has lost the passion she had, when she was doing what she loved.
The coat has a broad fake fur collar, is gathered on the waistline and goes out again until just over the knees. Due to the fur at the wrist and the bottom, it gives the wearer a glamorous, diva-like air-(which I would personally love to try to destroy with a rocker-style outfit to go with it-that's an idea for another post...:D)
Have fun trying to guess the movie and have a nice day XD

Applique Shirt

Hello! I started off making this design with just an idea for a pattern. Then I transfered it on to a shirt for which I then designed a whole outfit-which turned out to be a little cowgirlish looking. I kind of like that.
The pattern itself is simple but relatively delicate however through the outfit it is basically given a very casual, rough kind of effect. The shirt was combined with some high sitting jeans, leather laced boots and a simple brown jacket.

Navy Blue Coat

Hello fellow readers! My inspiration for this design (you know it from the header by the way) came to me in a Store when I was touring the city of Venlo with ma friend Andie, which was amazing but also very expensive (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about! :D).
It is (for my standards) a very short navy blue coat with two rows of buttons. In this case it is worn with skinny black leather trousers and some leather boots.
Hope you like and comment and share it! :D

Pink Fake Fur Coat

Hey everyone! Today's design was supposed to be something very different at first. I wanted to make a kind of school uniform-you know pleated skirt with a blouse, but the shirt unbuttoned and revealing a torn rocker kind of shirt as a kind of rebelious act-ok I know that sounds a little rediculous but I'm sure it would have looked good if the pleated skirt hadn't turned out vicously deformed and the loose shirt hadn't looked so stiff. So I decided to make the collar into a fake fur one and cut the skirt out. I think it turned out quite well don't you think?

Oversized brown coat

Hello everyone! I like today's design because I can identify myself with it very well. It looks a little bit as if it was from the "comme des garcons" 2012 winter/fall collection (which I absolutely adore by the way).
Basically it is an oversized brown, classic cut men's coat with a notch lapel and simple slits for pockets.
What I love doing with these kind of clothes, which have a very clear and defined style (in this case it is very masculine and baggy), is to mix it with something which has a completly different style. So you could eather wear it, as in the picture, with baggy trousers or combine it with a short, strapless and very colorful cocktail dress (or anything else in a more girly style-hotpants and a top for example). Then you achieve that you have contrasts which is the basis for any interesting outfit.

Military Inspired Outfit

Hey everyone! The inspiration for today's outfit came from a movie-"Across the Universe" (I wrote a little bit more about it on my Inspiration page). It took place during the Vietnam War so lots of people had uniforms. For some reason the clear and practical shapes and cuts led me to do my own version. What fascinates me about them is that when you are wearing uniform, you are no longer an individual-you are part of a whole, whether you like it or not.
It consists of high-necked jacket, long trousers and a helmet.

PS:if you have any ideas about what you would like me to design, designers you find inspiring or just things you would like to tell me-feel free to comment!

Black winter coat

Hi! Yes I know-it is August, I just had 10 days of intense sunshine but still...this post is a winter coat-I was in the icy plane when I drew this! So here we go. I was leafing through a fashion magazine when I had the idea for this and originally it was supposed to be a classic cape but for some reason the cape didn't turn out very well so I made it a jacket.
The collar is a very classic high-necked coat collar but then just underneath the bust there are lots of folds which open into a wide skirt until the knee.
I like this design because I can imagine the silhouette of a young girl who hurries through the cold city with the coat flowing behind her. Don't you see it?

Long purple coat

Heyho! I hope you're doing good!
Today's design is again an item of clothing which I looooove-long coats. Everytime I put some on they give me a sense of security and add to my self-esteem. That is probably why I have 3 of them hanging in my wardrobe!
This one is a rather plain cut which was spiced up through color. Apart from the bright pink collar fold which goes right down to the end, it is dark purple.
The coat is for chilly days in fall, when you go on a shopping trip or a casual night out.

Poncho

Hey! If I've wanted to knit something ever since I could knit, it is a poncho. They must be so comfortable and warm-I really would like to have one once.
This design is a mexican inspired design whose principle is really very easy. They are basically triangles lined up next to each other but the repetition makes it a very interesting pattern. The bright red boarder gives the whole thing a clear shape and calms the design down a little.
On cold winter nights this would be the perfect thing to cuddle up in with a book or infront of the TV.
And by the way-yes I know it is July but I don't seem to have gotten into the summer feeling yet :D
