I'm really happy how this came out, it is definetely one of the pieces I worked hardest on :D I'll definetely keep you guys updated about the project this is for :)
I need to catch up on on some sleep, so good night!
The pen part is finished! :) It took me the rest of the night yesterday, but I'm quite happy the way it turned out! :) I will now proceed to color it digitally and we'll see what happens :)
Oh and I got it scanned as well (as you can probably tell :D ) It was definetely worth the effort I think! xoxo Alex
I'm quite late again :) so sorry, but it took quite a while! I'm working on a commission at the moment for a very cool project I'll definetely tell you about when it is up an running. Meanwhile, here's the work in progress :)
Finally getting round to this cool commission. I must say finding the reference photo was the hardest for this, because apparently taking pictures of full humpback whales is not the easiest thing in the world XD I now found one, but the colors are not in great shape so I'm basically using the colors of a different one-complicated story. So anyway, it is not quite done yet, I want to make the contrast higher and add some more detail to the pen layer but I think it is working out quite well so far! ;) And it's bigger than it looks on this photo!
Getting a lot of requests lately, but don't worry, tomorrow I'll carry on with the veil ;) It was a little hard to think of something for this though, as I can only use black and white because we don't have a color printer at school, so anything pink or red or complicated is already out of the question...
I did a very interesting request today! :D Some of my dad's colleages apparently broke the company's record of gas sales in a week so I did a poster for them :D
You know, sometimes I do wonder what normal people do on weekends ;)
(Waffelverkauf-Waffle Sale :D) So I was asked to make a poster for the waffle sale of our school on Friday! :D (eat lots of waffles-we need money for our prom! :D)
So during the last meters I got a little perfectionistic :D
I have to say though, my camera did some weird stuff, so the top part has more contrast than the bottom part. I promise, it's not like that in real life! :D
This was a request actually :D I know I don't usually do that much with pencil, especially not those realistic kind of drawings so it it really interesting to me to try all the different things out. It is not done yet, still needs quite a bit of polishing ;)
Working on two projects simultaniously is complicated :D These both have to be done until the end of November, so it'll be a lot of drawing for me this month :D This one's a crop of a soon to be poster-I hope it'll turn out well!
I'm not really happy with the roof and everything yet, but I'll think of something :D And I think, this time some color is definetely needed!
