I wish I were able, just like any normal person, to make a plan before I draw. This wouldn have worked out so much better if I had just taken aquarelle paper. But no, of course I used the normal one...great!

So, slightly wavy paper, but I still kind of like the way it turned out ;)

Color Trial 2

Here's a similar color sheme as before only in watercolors. I have to remember with this, that my final version is going to be quite big, so I have to think ecologically :D I don't mind that they aren't as bright as yesterday but I still have to work on getting the right tones! :)

Bus stop sketches

These are such a fun way to pass time at bus stops! And also really good practise for figure drawing-you only have a few minutes to figure out proportions and be quick in case they move and can then add details and expressions afterwards.

They are pretty rough, but I still like them for some reason :)

Humpback whale (with fish!)

Didn't do much, just darkened it alittle and added some fish. Now I think it works a lot better with the spacing :)

Sorry for the sucky photo by the way-it is always hard taking pictures of the big ones, especially when it's dark!

Commission-humpback whale

Finally getting round to this cool commission. I must say finding the reference photo was the hardest for this, because apparently taking pictures of full humpback whales is not the easiest thing in the world XD
I now found one, but the colors are not in great shape so I'm basically using the colors of a different one-complicated story.
So anyway, it is not quite done yet, I want to make the contrast higher and add some more detail to the pen layer but I think it is working out quite well so far! ;) And it's bigger than it looks on this photo!

Humpback Whale experiments

I was missing the color on this blog a little so I crammed out my aquarelle colors and did some experiments with humpback whales :) This was the only usable one but I really like it ;)

The colors on the pic are horrible again sadly. I really have to find out how to use our scanner XD

Magnolia

When in doubt, draw flowers! I really love magnolias because I connect so much with them from my childhood, so once in a while I still draw them :D
