Pink Girl

I really can't seem to get the proportions right. It's bugging me, I see that it's not right but I don't seem to be able to change it...:O It was more a sketch to test the polychromos a bit and maybe a study for an upcoming piece, who knows, I seem to stumble on a lot of ideas lately :O

Avant Garde Hat

So apart from the fact that the proportions of the face are clearly wrong I like this concept. Maybe I'll revisit it sometime :)

Polychromo Character Sketching

Sooooo, hello you awesome people! I missed you :D Christmas madness is over, it's time to resume our schedule! :)These were just some weird characters I used to test my new Polychromos-yes I have surrendered-they are pretty cool ;)

Late night sketching

Detailed architectual elements combined with faces more figurative parts is definetely something I would like to explore further :D

Door

Soooo, I'm sorry for my absence lately. I've been traveling and it's hard to keep up the schedule then. It's going to be busy these next few weeks, so have patience with me :)

It was drawn on a train so it's a bit wobbly but can't you imagine a whole castle in this kind of style? It would be amazing! :O

Laundromat Sketches

Haha, I kind of like this sketch I have to say. The shapes are interesting! :)

Finished doodles

Still time consuming, still fun, still soothing :)

Good night!

Flower Girl

Just a quick sketch after a lot of brainstorming. The big project doesn't quite want to come along...;)

Pencil Sketches Outside

Pencil sketches always look horrible on here, sorry! This was a quick sketch I did outside :)

Playing around with gothic ornaments

Further experiments. It's horrible at the moment, I can only do these studies because I don't have the time to develop a basic concept which I could use as a base. These are always complicated to make, and not very spectacular when you post them on here, so I usually refrain from doing so. Maybe tomorrow I'll have more luck...

Late Night Faces

Dude, my sleeping schedule is so messed up, I'm not capable of doing anything at the moment...

Good night!

Cafe Scribbles

Sitting alone in a cafe is surprisingly meditative and cool :)

Doctor from Heidi

My grandma gave me a real treasure the other day. It is a really old copy of 'Heidi' (a German-or Austrian? children's story) with incredible illustrations by Wilhelm M. Busch. I'm sure I'll keep studying his work, here is a first sketch of this doctor he did :)

Good night!

Stern Black Dude

I like him somehow :D

I though about adding some kid who is being stern at (can you actually say that? :O :D) but then I didn't I didn't want to ruin it...XD

Girl Power

Sketches for an upcoming piece I'm pretty excited about :D These sketches are not very spectacular I admit, but they take ages so often I have no choice but to post them on here :) Bear with me, it's making progress!

I'm not entirely happy with the expression yet, but I can't wait to carry on, and see how thi'll turn out! ;)

Crazy Camera-Preliminary Sketch

I have to finish up some stuff for a friend of mine today, so I can just show you this preliminary sketch from drawing class today :)

It's for a new project I'm really excited about-can't wait to carry on next time :)

Waiting Room

Anyone recognize the place? ;) Spent a lot of time there today, but I'm proud to say-never again! :D

We're nearing the 700 posts mark by the way-any suggestions on what we should do to celebrate? ;)
