Waiting Room

Anyone recognize the place? ;) Spent a lot of time there today, but I'm proud to say-never again! :D

Welll-there you have it. This trawler marks the 600th post on this blog. Can't quite believe it-but here we go! :D

This is actually preparation for a bigger piece I'm doing, but I liked what it looked like on its own so I decided I would kind of finish it :)

Travel Sketchbook: Major's House in Lübeck

Heey! Yes. I know I'm late...but when am I not? XD

Anyways so here's another Travel Diary entry. This is not Prague though but a part of the majors house in Lübeck. Actually there are like 4 of these parts next to each other but I didn't have time to do all of them ;)

I've got something planned for you guys...Something big! XD no seriously, I can't wait to show you BUT I still need a little time to work it all out so I guess you'll just have to be patient for a little :D

Zen Trees

I have found recently that drawing trees is extremely relaxing...You don't have to think about what you're doing, just observe and put it to paper, meaning that your mind is free to wonder. Very interesting things you come up with I must say ;)

This tree is in our garden and I can see it from our window.. I love the way how it kind of looks sureal because  it is only the part which is sticking out of another tree-they kind of grew into each other :D

Hey guys!
I have another fineliner on paper drawing for you today but because I (and hopefully you too :D) liked the one so much where the colors were reversed I added that version too!
and if anyone recognizes the room (it is easier when you look at the room rather than people I'm afraid XD) this is set in they are awesome and seriously have to tell! :P

I must admit this is quite an unusual post even for me but I took to heart an advice for improving your drawing skills I read somewhere recently-and drew what was around me....as it was in the evening so I was sitting in my room...
This is the result when you let loose a fineliner on a paper when drawing my room :)

and as I was playing around with it in my photo editing program I suddenly had this...

I loved the "charcoal on blackboard"-effect!

Snow City Landscape

Hey peeps-I hope you're doing good!
Isn't it magical when you wake up, you are still tired and had to force yourself to get out of bed and then you pull away the curtain to see a landscape dipped in sugarcane?! I must say-I'm not a fan of the cold but snow can make even the biggest and loudest city seem so calm and peaceful...
So anyway-this picture kind of derived from a very productive english class where I looked out of the window and drew some of the houses-I gave away that piece but then I liked the idea so much that I decided to do a bigger and cleaner version of it...The cool part of the one in class was however that I had liquid whiteout for the snow but I didn't have that at home so I had to use white pastel instead...I think it it still turned out pretty well-so welcome in winterwonderland! :D
