Haha, I don't know what got into to me. Casually catching up on some christmas cards. Now I just need to find someone who likes westerns to send this to :O
Trying a new angle :) Don't worry, I'll still get back to intricate patterns and doodles, I'm just going to try to incoperate them in a main structure :)
Here's a similar color sheme as before only in watercolors. I have to remember with this, that my final version is going to be quite big, so I have to think ecologically :D I don't mind that they aren't as bright as yesterday but I still have to work on getting the right tones! :)
As a friend of mine puts it-drawing is therapy. Same thing here :) Keeps me grounded, keeps me calm and enables me to concentrate on the important things... Further studies today, tomorrow probably as well, but I have something a little special planned for Friday ;)
Soo, see y'all tomorrow, I'm going to sleep now! :) xoxo Alex
Still palying around with the Schiller Book :D So cool! At the moment I'm still simply copying stuff, but soon I want to take it to the next lever and create my own stuff in this style...;)
I found the most wonderful book today. It's the first part of a full edition of all Schiller's Works. There are some amazing illustrations that I've found in it and probably a lot more that I haven't discovered yet. The lettering is amazing as well. The capitals at the beginning of each work or chapter I copied, because it was so fascinating..:)
Apologies for the pencil remnants by the way, that's me being godawfully lazy ;) xoxo Alex
On one hand, I really like this drawing. It has the kind of depth and detail that others have lacked I think. On the other hand, I could kill myself for putting down a gew lines which simply ruin the whole thing a little bit...
Anyways, I think I need to let it rest a little right now...maybe I'll come back to it in photoshop or something :D xoxo Alex
