Scribble Sweater

Hello everyone!
Just a quick post from me today :D
I had the idea for the scribbled sweater in my mind for quite some time now so today I though I would put it on paper.

Leather jacket paired with a neon mini-skirt :D

Hi there! I hope you're all having a nice evening and enjoying "the voice" :D We have the last punk outfit post today (I want to try something different tomorow so we'll see about that!) and of course another mohawk-I'm sorry-I know not all punks have that but I think it is one of the most awesome haircuts ever and I just had to use the chance- so yes, this time it is not actually spikey but I love it anyway! :D
The top here is a black biker jacket with a zip on one side. This ones paired with an elastic mini-skirt. Under it there's a ripped tights (or tights with a very swirly design :D) and a pair of laced neon trainers.

a closer look at shoes and feet+a pair of walking boots

Hi there!
As I said yesterday, I chose this weeks theme because I want to imrpove my drawings of feet, especially when you draw them on a person who is standing facing you. THis is often quite tricky because the shape of the foot is kind of disorted because of the angle you look at it-i.e. it is kind of squashed (so it doesn't look as long as it really is). Quite frankly this confuses me everytime I drew feet so here we go-we are going to tackle this problem!
I hinted yesterday that I looked at some videos which explain how to do this. Some good ones can be found here, here and here.
On the right you can see my favorite view-I love how the toes are so round and cute XD (pls don't ask me why!).
However obviously as this is kind of a fashion blog I also drew some with shoes. The first attempts were very horrible and only one turned out to be quite ok so here you go!

Oversized Red "Bond" Cape

Hey!
It was during a conversation with a friend of mine that we came to the conclusion that the next bond will have to be a woman. No more Daniel Craig, Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan-no the next one should be Scarlett Johanson (in the Avengers she wasn't that bad so she should manage Bond :D) or something.
To be fair the name James would have to change a little-I guess Jamie would work...and of course the bond-girls would turn into smokin' hot guys and there you go-the perfect recipe for a successfull movie!

long black coat

Hello :D
Today's preview is a little unusual if you have a the theme "coats but I chose the shoes anyway so that in a minute, when you click on "Read More :D" we can concentrate on the coat :D
So they're bright red, have plateau heels and laces!

Black "Fan" Coat

Well hello there :D This next coat is not actually a "fan" coat as in like a football team fan coat but I called it that because just under the bust in fans out into lots of awesome folds :D
This makes the silhouette very feminine and defines the the girls figure-this can be very handy especially when you're tall and thin because it simple gives your silhouette a shape :D (of you know what I mean :D)

Olive Green Parka with Fur Hood

Hello! :D So fiiiirst I have to tell you about my awesome shopping trip today! My amazing friend and I met and we checked out the most awesome stores here in Essen-the fabric store, secondhand store and a vintage store. And we were successful! :D I would post pictures but I would need someone to take the photographs (and definitively an intesive class on modelling) so descriptions will have to suffice!  In the bag was amongst others an oversized camouflaged buttoned shirt/jacket, a plaid blazer (I dare to say a must have this season-we'll see :D), an amazing oversized blue, red, yellow and white sweater (it  kind of has a pattern...-which is hard to describe and stars on it :D) and green fabric to make the parka bellow! :D
I believe you can say that I love shopping (with the right people and in the right places) so let me know if you want me to post more descriptions of things I bargain :D

Two lovers: the plain black trench and the feminine green blazer coat

Hello :D Yes it is a rather long post title today but I mean-how else are we going to describe these to cuties. He, the again a womanizer-prominent face, masculine beard and a modern hairstyle and her, the cute, nice and more introverted but very affectionate young girl. Isn't that a perfect pair?

Futuristic Peplum Shirt

Hi everyone! I'm really getting into the peplum thing-at first I thought they were awful-but now I actually kind of like them!
This shirt has a high black collar, then goes down until the waist where the peplum unfolds itself. What makes this looks so futuristic is the fabric. It is very stiff which is why there are only a few prominent folds and the peplum "stands".
To go with it I added just a simple pair of black leggings and if you have the guts you can add some (very) high heeled red shoes.

Jeans Vest Outfit

Hello there! :D A rather late post today but I hope you enjoy it anyway ;)
If you were wondering how to pull off the jeans vest from yesterday-here's an idea.
A simple pair of trousers (if you choose jeans be careful that the two different jeans colors match!-I would prefer colorful trousers for this combination) with a loose tanktop or shirt. here I also added a little triangular scarf, a cute hat <3 and a pair of wedges.

Fake fur coat

Hi! As with lots of designs I got inspired to this one by a movie (lets see if you can guess!). The wearer is a young woman who is unhappy because she has lost the passion she had, when she was doing what she loved.
The coat has a broad fake fur collar, is gathered on the waistline and goes out again until just over the knees. Due to the fur at the wrist and the bottom, it gives the wearer a glamorous, diva-like air-(which I would personally love to try to destroy with a rocker-style outfit to go with it-that's an idea for another post...:D)
Have fun trying to guess the movie and have a nice day XD

Navy Blue Coat

Hello fellow readers! My inspiration for this design (you know it from the header by the way) came to me in a Store when I was touring the city of Venlo with ma friend Andie, which was amazing but also very expensive (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about! :D).
It is (for my standards) a very short navy blue coat with two rows of buttons. In this case it is worn with skinny black leather trousers and some leather boots.
Hope you like and comment and share it! :D

Oversized brown coat

Hello everyone! I like today's design because I can identify myself with it very well. It looks a little bit as if it was from the "comme des garcons" 2012 winter/fall collection (which I absolutely adore by the way).
Basically it is an oversized brown, classic cut men's coat with a notch lapel and simple slits for pockets.
What I love doing with these kind of clothes, which have a very clear and defined style (in this case it is very masculine and baggy), is to mix it with something which has a completly different style. So you could eather wear it, as in the picture, with baggy trousers or combine it with a short, strapless and very colorful cocktail dress (or anything else in a more girly style-hotpants and a top for example). Then you achieve that you have contrasts which is the basis for any interesting outfit.

Scribbly Blazer

Hey guys :D The inspiration for this piece had an unlikely source-I was watching the olympics when the camera swayed over the audience and a spectator was wearing a similar blazer-I fell in love with the concept immeadiatly.
The design has a closed collar, puffy shoulders and goes pretty far down. The cool thing about it, is the fabric which has black scribbles all over. This simple concept  has a huge effect and is the eyecatcher to your outfit.
You can either wear it in black and white or add some colorful accents for example with a bright red maxi-bag.

Military Inspired Outfit

Hey everyone! The inspiration for today's outfit came from a movie-"Across the Universe" (I wrote a little bit more about it on my Inspiration page). It took place during the Vietnam War so lots of people had uniforms. For some reason the clear and practical shapes and cuts led me to do my own version. What fascinates me about them is that when you are wearing uniform, you are no longer an individual-you are part of a whole, whether you like it or not.
It consists of high-necked jacket, long trousers and a helmet.

PS:if you have any ideas about what you would like me to design, designers you find inspiring or just things you would like to tell me-feel free to comment!

Black winter coat

Hi! Yes I know-it is August, I just had 10 days of intense sunshine but still...this post is a winter coat-I was in the icy plane when I drew this! So here we go. I was leafing through a fashion magazine when I had the idea for this and originally it was supposed to be a classic cape but for some reason the cape didn't turn out very well so I made it a jacket.
The collar is a very classic high-necked coat collar but then just underneath the bust there are lots of folds which open into a wide skirt until the knee.
I like this design because I can imagine the silhouette of a young girl who hurries through the cold city with the coat flowing behind her. Don't you see it?

Jumper

Hey! This is (along with the Overall from a few days ago) probably my favorite piece so far! Very colorful, very original-I like it!
It is basically a very simple jumper with a black collar. The awesomeness is added by the colorful pattern on the actual sweater.
It is the unique centerpiece of your outfit which could be worn basically everywhere. I just love these kind of designs...

Colorblocked Pumps

Hey! YES-another shoe! Very different from the first one though!
Remember when colorblocking was so popular and you could basically find it everywhere? Well-I liked that time so here is my first colorblocking pump.
I started off with an idea for a sandal which (where now the red parts are) was open but I didn't really like it that way. So basically I closed it there and colored the new parts red.
You could spice any outfit up with this shoe, whether it is a black dress or jeans with a simple T-shirt. You could wear it to work or to a night out. Again another very adaptable design.
xoxo Alex
