Wall of Inspiration

Remember those weekly inspiration posts I did some time ago every Monday? I don't actually know why I stopped but uhm this post is going to be a little like that-only now it's not a post-it is a whole wall :D
Following the advice of an awesome teacher of mine on how to find what actually interests me, art-wise I mean, yesterday and today I started looking through my pile of magazines on my desk-ripping out everything which spoke to me, inspired me or simply just looked awesome :D I tried not to go by any kind of thematic scheme and try to end up with the stuff I liked best...
Then I ordered it and tried to find categories or patterns so that then I could actually see what different kind of things I picked out...and well-here's what I learned....and it looks like we are going to have to rename the blog :P
So just to explain the sections a little-we have a large black and white one on the left-faces in the top middle, then objects and kind of textures or patters on the right and then bottom middle and right we have buildings and scenes n stuff...
It kind of creeps me out how uncolorful, I mean there is a lot of black and white and sepia but nothing is like neon or anything so that's kind of new for me...

and then I learned that I love like vintage cars and motorcycles and stuff...not because of what they are but because they have such cool shapes...

Weird stuff you find out about yourself when you do something like that....Try it! It is actually kind of fun!
oh and there were basically no fashion shots or editorials or anything...which means that it doesn't fit the name of the blog...which kind of sucks-but I'll think of something I promise!

Inspirational Collage-Romeo and Julia

Hey guys!
It is Monday and therefore time for the next inspirational collage! I decided to use the moodboard I created at the workshop where I designed around the theme Romeo and Julia.
You can already see quite well here that the main colors are red and beige, and my kind of stylistic inspiration was a mix of the classic design with simple and timeless cuts but also a little bit this cool kind of sense that I think Ryan Gosling in the middle incoperates perfectly...
More Romeos on here are Lenny Kravitz, Orlando Bloom from the add for Boss Orange and the guy from the artist. The eyes from the top right corner belong to Penelope Cruz and there are lots of different pictures of Michelle Williams as Marylin Monroe from "My Week with Marylin"-amazing movie by the way. :D There are two quotes on here, one is "The weapon of a woman? Tears!" and the other is by Pierce Brosnan who said, "I owe one of the best compliments to Meryl (Streep): Suddenly she tore off my shirt in front of the running camera. She had done this "for all women", she said. She is amazing and it was great kissing her. My wife calls this legal cheating" (Note: the kissing part while shooting the movie Mamma Mia :D)
Have an amazing Monday evening!

Inspirational Monday-the leaves are falling

Hey everyone! It is Monday again so what do we have? Yes and ispirational collage and this week I thought, why not use the weather as an inspiration. These last few days have been really grey and ugly so all you could do was cuddle up at home with a good book so that's why we'll look into fall outfits! And with that I don't mean only coats (we already did a week on those) but also comfy outfits for at home or school.
I hope you enjoyed your Monday!

Inspirational Monday-Pretty in Punk

Hi there everyone!
It is Monday so it's time for the next inspirational collage and this week's theme will be Pretty in Pink Punk!
I've always had a great sense of admiration to for Punks because apart from their style being awesome :D, I can identify myself with their ideals of individuality and anti-establishment views. For that you must know that I do not really derive from an enviromnent which is known for it's acceptance of individuals. I've always known what I didn't want though so naturally I am different from the poeple around me. My clothing style for example is well, pretty unique and aparently not everyone at school can deal with it, so I've had to endure some ugly comments (but always some amazing ones too!) for that but considering that the other option is being like everyone else it is a price worth paying.
So thats why I'll dedicate this week to Punk!

Inspirational Monday-fAcEs

Hi there! Can you believe it?! It is Monday again! :D (and the only reason I added a smiley face is because currently I'm on holiday!) This means that it is time for a new motto this week and guess what I chose! fAcEs!

This weeks theme-Think Pink!

Hi there! So you probably already noticed because of the title-I have something new in store for you! So I was sitting there, trying to think of new ideas for outfits and tadaaaang I had this inspirational flash...yes the famous flashes again :) well so here it goes...I was looking at my pile of magazines labeled "inspirirations" and I thought about it-when do I actually flick through these anymore? I looked at them a few times, then I new what to expect and they now lay abandonned in the corner of my room. This is where the flash comes in. I suddenly had an idea on how you could pull new designs out of these magazines and photos-cut them up! Thinking about it a little longer I came up with a concept. So here we go..
Every Monday from now on is Inspirational Monday. Here I won't post a new design, piece of clothing or outfit but a new collage of photos from my pile of magazines all related to one topic and then, the whole week until Sunday, all my new designs will be inspired by that and maybe these will help you come up with your own as well!...so how does that sound to you?
To kick it off, I just took the title of an article I found in one the AW 2012 Edition of LOVE "Think Pink". Now I know this isn't really one of my usual.....inspirational credos I guess because I'm not that much of a pinky girl-but that was kind of the point. To try something new! And I mean-who knows...maybe I'll come up with ways of using pink which...I would actually wear!
So here you go...the first collage for you!
I hope you find it inspirational! XD
