The elegance of a lady

Their were many negative points about French aristocracy-their style was not one of them (apart from the hair-I mean seriously?! who would smear all that stuff in their hair?)
Anyway-here's a version which is a little bit more modern :D
This is one of the looks from Ulyana Sergeenko's lookbook which recently was presented on Honestly WTF and I loved it. :D
Maaaaaybe-there will be more :D

Dressing black n white stick figures

You know I must say I really oppose annorexia and all those thin model freakish things associated with fashion but dressing stickfigures on paper is way more easy than actually filling them with flesh-so forgive those designers who are said to plant ideals of über-thin women being beautiful-it is just them being to lazy to add flesh and actually care about proportions! :D (at least in my case it is :P)

February Stars

Hello guys!
I have an guache and watercolor painting for you...It is kind of unusual for me because I put the figurine in a scene but I thought it would look nice for her to have some background! :D
It was inspired by the song "February Stars" by the Foo Fighters (one of my favorite songs ever...!) and well-I hope you like it!

Alice in Wonderland special :D

Hi everyone! :D
I'm back from the awesome workshop yesterday and today! Today we did a lot of designing using the inspiration from our moodboards. I love workshops like these because you meet so many awesome people which like the same things as you do and with who you can talk about fashion and design. Also especially in this course there were lots of different people from different age groups who you got to know over time and who could all  provide their own experiences.I think this is an essential part of creative work in fashion-of course it is a lot of indepent work in front of your own little desk too-but the exchange of ideas with other people just keeps it exciting!
The first design which you can see on the right is a T-shirt with a print of the two fat twins from Alice in Wonderland. I tried making a kind of suit for the figure which would make it fat and bulky too but for some reason that looked kind of...bizarre (I wonder why?! :D)
so I settled for this print :D btw-don'T you think the head of the figure is kind of similar to the heads of the twins? There is some kind of unintentional resemblance....

Watercolor princess dress

Hi! I decided to use a new technique today! It was a little bit complicated because the black pen I had used kept smudging when I put watercolor on it so I had to try several times...
I got the idea for this design the way I get lots of ideas. Sometimes a picture simply appears in my head and I know what my next design has to be like. Sometimes it is not even the picture I get, just the adjectives describing it. Here I only saw the detail (dude-this is kind of getting creepy) of the chin, the neck and the beginning of the dress. The outline was clear and scetchy but the colors blurred over the sides. Sometimes I'm able to then convert these pictures into a drawing or a sketch but sometimes this doesn't work. With this one  I think the dress worked reasonably well but I messed up exactly the detail I had pictured in my head...very logical..

PS:You're definetely going to see more watercolors showing up here-they are simply amazing to do quick coloring and paired with felt-tips and crayons they are unbeatable :D

Ballroom dress

Hey! Well, here come's the first of the promised ballroom dresses.
It is a purple neckholder, with the bust being held together with a purple stone and it goes down right tol the floor.
Combined with the clutch and a simple hair updo it is the perfect outfit for a ball.

Strapless dress with jeans jacket

Hey guys! I'm going to a ball soon so the next few days will be a little about dresses! This first one is still quite casual.
It is strapless, has a few buttons coming down the front and then fans out into a skirt. Colorwise it reminds me very much of candy again, which goes well with the dark blue of the jeans jacket.
Combined with some heels and a fancy hairstyle (but without the jeans jacket) it would be perfect for a summer party.

Waterfall Cocktail Dress

Hi everyone! This peace is a little bit of a classic but I think it has so much effect that I decided to put it on here.
As the name already suggest this about knee long dress has a waterfall neckline which of course for a party is very flattering.
Just combine it with a pair pumps, maybe a simple necklace with a pendant and a clutch and you're ready to go!

Purple Evening Robe

Hi Guys! As I said yesterday, in today's design I tried to incoperate the doodle from yesterday and well-you'll see how it turned out.
This piece is a long assymetrical (so only over one shoulder) evening robe. On the left side the fabric is gathered behind the flower to make radial folds which strech over the whole whole robe and give it the shape.
This is definetly a dress only for very special occasions and only to be worn with very high heels! :D

Blue summer dress

Hey guys! I do realize this is the third dress in a row but I can'T help it-I love them! (and I promise tomorow will be something different..) Again with this design I was thinking  about what you could wear when there is a blazing hot sun shining down on you.
It is light, simple and flowing, with a classic v-neck and a playful skirt.
There are lots of ways to style this classic piece-you could leave it simply as it is with ballerinas, add some jewelery and pumps to make it more chic or (something I would LOVE to try) when it is colder wear a big baggy wollen sweater over it with a long necklace with a pendant on it, some kind of sunglasses, tights and leather high top boots with laces. (When I wrote that I realized that it was kind of hard to understand what I mean just by reading the description so I made a quick sketch to show the outfit)

Rainbow Stretch Dress

Hello all of you! As the title already suggest-I was feeling colorful when I came up with this design-it is definetly something which attracts the attention.
Because of the bright colors, I left the cut very simple. It has a flattering round neckline and goes until just over the knees. The red border on the neckline and the hem at the bottom also calm the design and round the whole thing up.
With this dress you have to be very careful with the styling, stick to reserved colors to preserve the wow-effect for the dress.

Green summer dress

Hey guys! Today's design is a very easy and simple design for hot summer days when you want something light and easygoing.
The dress has a v-neck which goes down until the bottom of your bust where the fabric is ruffled to make the light and playful skirt.Oh and by the way-go green! :D
Depending on how you style this piece it could be perfect for a stroll at the beach combined with nothing but flip flops or with some jewelery and pumps for a hot summer night-out in the streets of your city.

Purple Panel Dress

Hey everyone! What I've got for you today is probably a couture piece and definetly not suitable for daily use. Before I can talk about why it appeals to me so much I have to tell you what it is because I'm afraid you can only see the general impression on the sketch...
So as you see it is a ballroom dress with a wide skirt at the bottom. It is made of lots of purple square metal (yes-metal) panels with are set in rows to make the wonderfully round shape of this dress.
Despite reminding you of chain mail with which you asocciate the harsh battles of the medieval times, it still is a verysoft, feminine design and I love this controversy of material and effect.

Green sheath dress

Heyo. So here's why it's green sheath dress time today: They're awesome! Depending on the rest of your outfit they can me super cute with ballerinas and a clutch for a party with friends or more business style with pumps and a blazer.
The concept is simple. A very straight dress with long folds coming from the neckline. The best part of it is, is the color though. It makes the dress an eye-catcher!
This dress could be the center piece of your outfit for so many occasions!
Hope you like it!

Girly summer dress

Heyo! I hope you're all doing fine. Now you know that I'm not really that type but I think that everyone has the right to be girly sometimes. Thats the reason for this dress.
Due to the circle skirt  it conveys a light and floating, a little princessy feeling. The top is held simple and a broad strip seperates top and bottom  and underlines the waist line. The highlight is the big brooch which looks like a messy flower.
If you want to keep up the girlyness you could combine it with ballerinas. I could very well imagine it with vintage cowboyboots and a few leather bracelets, which would add a more cool side to the outfit.
